We'll start Calgary pick-ups at 8am and head out of town by around 8:30am.
You'll enjoy a scenic drive through Kananaskis Provincial Park where we'll tell you all about this beautiful area and why you should come back to it.
Next we'll stop in Canmore at a local deli for a quick stretch to get an incredible tasty meal to go (included) or at the Lake Louise Village on Sundays. A great place to welcome you to the Rockies!
Next you'll head to the magnificent Lake Louise where you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the ice rink, maybe visit the hotel, or a hike at one of the trails by the lake.
Here, you'll have time for an optional activity such as hiking to the Fairview Lookout or to the end of the lake and back, or if you want to rent a canoe let us know ahead of time.
We'll drive to The Valley of the Ten Peaks, framed by ten towering peaks, offers an awe-inspiring landscape, a monumental testament to nature's grandeur and raw beauty.
More than a destination; it is a sanctuary of natural splendor and a place where the beauty of the Rockies is displayed in its full, untamed glory.
Moraine Lake: Nature's Masterpiece in Banff!
This glacier-fed lake, renowned for its vivid turquoise waters and stunning mountain backdrop, offers a scene that is both serene and awe-inspiring.
The lake’s striking blue-green color is the first thing that captures the attention. This vibrant color contrasts with the deep greens of the surrounding pine forests and the whites of the snow-capped peaks, crafting a picturesque landscape that seems straight out of a dream.
One of the most iconic vantage points is from the Rockpile, a short hike that offers a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
The vista from the Rockpile is one of the most photographed scenes in Canada, capturing the essence of the lake’s pristine and untouched beauty, and is just a 10 to 15 minute short hike!
This adventure just got better as you'll be headed for the Icefields Parkway!
This is one of the most scenic drives in North America due to its line up of endless mountains and the many glaciers visible all the way to Jasper (that's another tour).
We'll stop at Peyto Lake and head for a short 10 minute hike up to the new lookout area!
Imagine standing at the edge of a grand natural balcony, where a wild symphony of blues unfolds before your eyes. Below you, Peyto Lake stretches out like a sapphire dragon, coiled between towering mountain peaks that stand as ancient sentinels. The glacial waters shimmer in the sunlight, displaying hues that range from turquoise to deep cobalt, while delicate white waves dance upon its surface, offering a spectacle worthy of any dream.
Next will be Bow Lake! Picture yourself gazing upon a tranquil, mirror-like expanse, where the water is so still it perfectly reflects the towering peaks and azure sky above. The lake, like an enormous sapphire, nestles gently amidst a crown of rugged mountains, their craggy summits softened by a dusting of snow. As you look closer, you might notice the gentle ripples that whisper of the lake's serene yet vibrant life.
One last stop will be the Town of Banff!
Banff Avenue is the heart and soul of the charming town of Banff. Imagine strolling down this bustling street, framed by the majestic Rockies that rise like titans on either side. The avenue is alive with the sounds of laughter, conversation, and the occasional clip-clop of a horse-drawn carriage.
Lining the street are a delightful array of shops, boutiques, and restaurants, each one inviting you in with the promise of unique treasures or delicious fare. The architecture is a blend of rustic mountain charm and modern elegance, with wooden facades and large windows that showcase the bustling activity within.
As you make your way down Banff Avenue, you'll notice the vibrant atmosphere, where locals and tourists alike come together to enjoy the stunning surroundings. The street is adorned with colorful flower baskets in the warmer months, adding a touch of nature's beauty to the lively scene.
